Resident outlines ongoing easement litigation, asks board to note dispute

A resident addressed the board at length to describe an ongoing superior-court matter with a neighboring property owner over easement and deeded-rights issues. The speaker said they are the fee holder of the land in question and that the neighbor placed dumpsters on land the speaker claims is within the easement and on private property.

The commenter said the neighbor changed a business name shortly after an enforcement visit and that multiple municipal departments had been previously alerted about the situation. "I am the fee holder of that land," the resident said, recounting court visits and surveys and asking the board to put the dispute on the record.

Board members responded that lot-line and quiet-title disputes are civil matters and outside the zoning board's jurisdiction, but they acknowledged the record and reminded the speaker that other departments (code enforcement, selectmen, assessors) had been involved previously. The speaker said they would provide court documents and surveys to the town for its files.
