APT describes studio upgrades, Madison Avenue set and Cheaha site work

William told the board that APT had plans and funding set aside to demolish an existing Cheaha building and install two prefab structures on site, but that work is delayed while the state parks system performs a water‑plant upgrade that occupies access and space.

"We have the money set aside to demolish your building to put in 2 new buildings," William said, adding that the buildings are prefab and need crane placement and slab work; staff identified a roughly six‑month lead time for building delivery once installation begins. He also reported studio work: lighting grids and set design for a Madison Avenue studio, including coordination with Devlin Design Group to finalize sets for Capital Journal and other productions.

Staff said upgrades would enable faster local production and potential revenue generation from rental or expanded programming, but flagged scheduling and crew availability as constraints.
