Committee approves Revize contract for Mount Pleasant City ADA-compliant website

The Personnel & Finance Committees on Aug. 4 approved a contract with Revize to build Mount Pleasant City’s new ADA-compliant website. Staff presenters Joe Taylor and Shelbi Swinscoe recommended Revize and outlined two pricing options: $10,650 for the first year with an ongoing annual cost of $2,500, or a five-year flexible payment schedule of $4,130 in the first year and $4,130 annually for the following five years. The Committee voted to accept the recommendation and selected the flexible payment option.

Taylor and Swinscoe told the Committee the city’s current website receives approximately 90,000 visits annually, is outdated, and frequently requires outside contractor assistance. Staff said the new site would satisfy federal ADA compliance requirements and provide a more user-friendly experience. The committee’s action directs staff to finalize the contract with Revize under the selected payment plan; staff will return with contract documents as needed.
