New resident urges mosquito treatment in Daniel Crossing

Yvonne Rashid, a resident of Daniel Crossing, told council members she has become concerned about mosquitoes in her neighborhood and requested that the city consider targeted mosquito treatment. Rashid said she contacted the city about a neighbor who has tires on their property that could breed mosquitoes but that, as far as she observed, the tires remained.

"I do have a mosquito concern," Rashid said, asking for treatment for the Daniel Crossing area and noting she has lived in the Dallas area since 2013. Staff did not commit to a response during the public-comment item; Rashid’s remarks were entered into the public record for follow-up by municipal staff.
