Select Board authorizes signatures for electric trash truck grant extension

Public works updated the board that the electric trash truck chassis has left the assembly line and is en route to the body manufacturer, and that final steps on the town side (including disposal of the old truck) may extend past the current grant expiration of December 31, 2026. The presenter described the requested extension as "an insurance policy" so the project can be completed if not finished by the grant expiration.

The Select Board voted to authorize the town administrator and public works director to sign any necessary extension paperwork and noted the grant still requires review and approval by the state's G&C process. The board reiterated the need for coordination between DES, the grants manager, and DPW through project closeout.
