The Sun Valley City Council on May 23 approved a change order to modify the roadway section on the city’s road and path project to match driveway elevations and to change the construction method to a Concrete Treated Base. Council President Keith Saks moved to "authorize the Mayor to execute the change order as discussed, for an amount up to $55,000," a motion seconded by Council Member Michelle Griffith and adopted unanimously on a roll-call vote.
Mayor Peter Hendricks explained the design revision and the switch from the previously planned material, and Council Member Jane Conard raised questions that the City Engineer addressed via email. Crosby stated the additional cost would be charged to the program contingency fund. Council Members Brad DuFur and Keith Saks said the changes made sense. The council’s recorded AYES were Saks, Conard, Griffith and DuFur; Mayor Hendricks declared the motion approved.
