Palatine announces holiday events, winter market and tree lighting

Council leadership used announcements time to list seasonal events and closures. The chair highlighted a holiday book sale at the Palatine Public Library (Nov. 20–22), a Downtown Business Association 'holidays on the town' event on Nov. 20 (5–9 p.m.) with hors d'oeuvres and wine tastings, a free trolley to participating businesses, and the winter market opening Saturday, Nov. 21 (8 a.m.–noon) at the Palatine Train Station. The chair also noted the town square tree‑lighting ceremony begins at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and reminded residents that village offices will be closed on Thanksgiving (Nov. 26–27).

The announcements were delivered as part of the opening business and no formal action was taken.
