The Clark County Planning Commission approved UC20030303 on Aug. 8, a holdover use permit for a proposed recreational/entertainment facility (an online gaming competition venue) within an existing office-warehouse complex in an industrial park near Sunset Road in Spring Valley.
Denise Yoordillo, representing the applicant, told the commission she had prepared 11 clarifying conditions but was amenable to the town board's four conditions if the language was clarified in the record. Staff confirmed it had reviewed the applicant's proposed wording. Commissioners and staff agreed the town board's four conditions provide adequate protections for neighbors, and they scheduled a one-year review to begin after the business opens to the general public.
Commissioners emphasized neighbor protections including a parking and transportation management plan, operational oversight and crowd-control standards, and guest conduct/site control policies (no loitering, controlled entry with no re-entry allowed). The commission voted to approve the item with staff conditions; the action is final unless appealed.
