Ellis County Commissioners approved an order for the Nov. 3, 2026 general election, adopted early-voting dates and accepted recommended election judges and central counting staff submitted by the county parties.
Elections Administrator Jana Onion (speaker 19) said early voting will run Oct. 19–30 and the county’s main early-voting site will move from the Ellis County Woman’s Building to the Waxahachie ISD old high-school library to provide more parking and room; branch locations include the Ellis County Sub Courthouse in Ennis (Precinct 1), the Molotian Conference Center, a Palmer ISD annex and Red Oak Municipal Center. Onion also presented the party-proportioned slate of election judges for 60 precincts and central-counting station personnel (manager Jana Onion; tabulation supervisor Adrian Rodriguez; assistant tabulation supervisor Brenda Gomez; Central Counting Station election judge Michael Mohan; alternate Joanne Hunt). Commissioners approved the order and appointments unanimously.
