Planning Board approves a batch of permits and extensions including a farm-stand relocation and cottage additions

The Planning Board acted on several routine applications and extensions. The board approved a one-year extension on shoreland permits for a cottage project (applicant provided receipts showing at least 30% of project cost), approved a business-permit expansion and relocation for an existing farm stand (owner Patricia Staples will pay a $100 fee and supply copies), and approved modest additions to two cottages after the applicants reduced one addition slightly to meet the 30% shoreland expansion rule.

For the farm stand, the board noted the new location provides better parking and utilities and that abutters had signed in support. For the cottage additions, the board required the applicant to submit completion photos and to confirm final square-foot figures for the official record. Several other minor permit items (seasonal dock/project clarifications) were discussed and staff asked applicants to submit revised project descriptions and hard copies.
