Parks director and police chief invite public to 'Know Before You Ride' session as Le Claire joins regional e-bike campaign

Parks & Recreation Director Greg Ludwig and Police Chief Shane Themas invited members of the public to an informational session, "Know Before You Ride!", at Le Claire Library on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. The session is intended to cover safe and respectful riding and how to follow rules of the road for e-bikes and e-scooters.

Ludwig and Themas said Le Claire will soon join Bettendorf and Davenport in the Ride Safe & Smart Campaign to align safety messaging with neighboring communities. The goal, they said, is to provide consistent education and safety tips for riders and the broader public; the announcement included the session date and time and a public invitation to attend.
