Abutter requests Conservation Commission review of Cook Road cell‑tower application

During new business the board heard an abutter's request that the Conservation Commission review a proposed cell‑tower application on Cook Road and perform a site visit to understand the tower’s relationship to adjacent conservation land.

Board members cautioned about discussing the matter outside a public hearing but agreed to add the request to the next meeting’s agenda and, if appropriate, notify the landowner and Conservation Commission. Members noted uncertainty in the plan’s depiction of jurisdictional wetland lines and said the Conservation Commission’s purview is limited to mapped wetland/jurisdictional areas; if the site plan does not clearly show jurisdictional land the board requested that the issue be clarified before substantive action.
