Council presses development of town-owned parcels; MVCC project highlighted as revenue priority

Several council members said generating new, long-term revenue from town-owned parcels is the council's top priority. One council member said the priority is to "develop it" and "create income streams" from properties on Sheridan and other town-owned lots; another said passing the MVCC project and identifying suitable development partners should be a focus so the town is not forced to rely solely on spending cuts.

Administrator Canfield said staff will prepare a work session and additional materials on the town properties to help the council determine next steps, and she committed to drafting council goals that tie development priorities into the FY2027 budget. Members acknowledged that development timelines are long but said revenue from completed projects is the clearest path to long-term solvency.
