Code enforcement officer Charmaine Kirkland presented photos and inspection history showing multiple open violations at 504 North 23rd Street, including front-yard parking and outdoor storage of furniture and appliances. The occupant said he had worked to clean the property but lacked help because of medical and work commitments. Kirkland confirmed the nonoperable-vehicle violation had been cleared by providing registration but said other items remained.
Staff recommended more time than the 7 days in the notice; after considering the respondent’s statements and staff input the magistrate ordered 15 days to come into compliance and instructed the respondent to keep in touch with staff for reinspection. The order warns that a $100-per-day fine will be assessed for continuing violations and that appeals must be filed within 30 days.
