Multiple nonoperable-vehicle citations were heard for vehicles parked at 2315 Orange Avenue. Charmaine Kirkland introduced photographs for each tagged vehicle — a blue Chevrolet Avalanche, a black Dodge Ram and a black utility trailer among others — and the magistrate addressed mislabeling of exhibits before admitting the correct photos into evidence. The respondent, Catalia D. Wilshire, was not present for many of the vehicle hearings; the court found the nuisance violations existed and ordered each vehicle to be made road-safe within seven days, or the city will tow the vehicles and assess abatement costs and $100-per-day fines.
The magistrate reiterated the city’s abatement authority and warned that repeated noncompliance will lead to towing and cost assessment. Staff confirmed notices and inspection dates and advised the property owner to contact code enforcement to avoid escalation.
