Commission approves 43.6-acre Mundy Township preservation application with 10-year term

Staff described the second Mundy Township parcel as roughly 43.6 acres, with about 25 acres in livestock farming and surrounding parcels already preserved. Staff recommended approval and noted a requested preservation length of 10 years for this property; commissioners moved and supported the recommendation and approved it by voice vote.

Staff said the parcels designation in the future land-use map is rural preservation and that the application meets county and township master plan goals. The commissions approval advances the preservation agreement process for recording and owner notification under program rules.
