Council reviews proposed general-plan annexation boundary and adds trails concept to the plan

Staff (Eric Bennett) presented proposed adjustments to the general-plan mapping, recommending the annexation area be extended along a section line across to SR‑189 and northern corridors up to Midway Lane so growth areas align with the town's 20-year plan. "This is your 20 year plan," staff said, explaining why the annexation map should be larger to allow future annexations consistent with long-range planning.

Staff also described trails identified by the county trails committee and noted that many trail alignments require private-property access or county cooperation; the council agreed to include the trails in the general-plan mapping as a statement of support but emphasized the need to secure landowner permission and further engineering review before adoption.
