Commissioners approve final change order, authorize chairman to sign McPherson County building completion certificate

Fuqua Construction presented the final change order for the McPherson County Building Project and a certificate of substantial completion, and the Board of County Commissioners approved the change order and authorized the chairman to sign the completion certificate.

After approving the change order and certificate, commissioners discussed a proposed 16-by-20 dedication plaque at an estimated cost of about $2,000 for display on the first floor. Commissioner (speaker 2) moved to approve the purchase of the McPherson County building sign (estimated $2,000); the motion carried. The Fuqua representative said the company would assist if the county wanted and noted donation(s) might help reduce the net outlay.
