Commissioners set county line-item transfer threshold at $1,000, subject to Auditor approval

The Burnet County Commissioners on Aug. 5 approved an amendment to the county's Budget Policy to set the line-item transfer amount at $1,000 subject to Auditor approval (Revenue & Transfer Policies #5). The policy discussion also reviewed General Policies #9 (adopting GSA daily lodging, meals and incidental expense rates for maximum travel reimbursements) and proposed revisions to Fleet Policies (documentation requirement for vehicle take-home policy).

Vicinta Stafford (County Clerk), Karrie Crownover (County Treasurer) and Chief Deputy Sheriff Alan Trevino spoke during the discussion. Commissioner Joe Don Dockery moved to approve item (b) and Commissioner Damon Beierle seconded; the motion passed 5-0. Items related to General Policies #9 and Fleet Policies were discussed but no action was recorded for all subsections.
