Board accepts PD2026-008 for 76 South Shore Road; stormwater measures outlined

The Planning Board voted to accept PD2026-008 for 76 South Shore Road, a small, steep parcel in the Residential/Agricultural/Recreational zone and within a steep-slopes conservation district. Applicant materials indicate the property owner intends to replace a deteriorating cottage with a slightly longer house and to install terraces, a catch basin, infiltration steps to the lake, and a redesigned wastewater system consistent with state approval procedures.

Tom Manning, summarizing the application, said the proposed design reduces some building coverage and includes stormwater-management features: "The building size is slightly decreased ... New steps will be built to access the house ... Storm ... catch basin will be installed with the driveway timing area," he said. Board members asked for detail on the catch basin and noted the lot’s challenging slope; the application was accepted for scheduling and members set follow-up dates for hearing and site-review items.
