County accepts $60,000 fitness-equipment grant for Bridal Park and passes splash pad resolution

Dearborn County planning staff told commissioners that Bridal Park is pursuing matching funds and that the county received a $60,000 grant earmarked for fitness-center equipment.

Nicole Daley of Dearborn County Planning and Zoning said the $60,000 would be used "for the equipment for the fitness center" and that the county had submitted its Land and Water Conservation Fund application to state and federal authorities on Friday. A commissioner moved to accept the grant application; the motion was seconded and carried. The board also approved resolution 2026010 related to the splash pad.

Nicole said the grant paperwork will be routed to commissioners and to council as required and staff will provide copies to partners. Commissioners voiced general support and carried the motions by voice vote.
