Braden River band director Cliff Dawson named district educator of the year; district staff praised for national awards

The board recognized Cliff Dawson, director of bands at Braden River High School, as the district's educator of the year after state‑level recognition. "I didn't come prepared, but I wanted to say thank you and appreciate your being here," Dawson said during his remarks after being invited forward for recognition.

District leaders also noted that the STEM and school choice showcases earned national recognition from the National School Public Relations Association. Staff named several contributors and asked team members who were present to come forward for photos; the board praised the team effort and the district's partnerships that helped produce the events.
