Council reviews golf‑club repairs, staffing and a plan to create a golf‑course trust

Mike Moore briefed the council on operations at the Pryor Creek Golf Club, reporting recent hires, irrigation and pump repairs, software integration (4up), and a list of immediate maintenance and safety concerns for pro‑shop and maintenance buildings. Staff said greens maintenance is the top priority and outlined capital needs including a greens mower and building repairs.

Council discussed a proposal to create a Golf Course Trust under the rec center board to consolidate oversight of enterprise funds and allow targeted capital planning. City Attorney Chase cautioned that changes could require Corps of Engineers' approval of the lease before certain actions such as subleases or selling alcohol can proceed; the council authorized drafting the trust documents and directed attorney work to proceed with council authorization for any significant legal expense.
