Mister Mysiak presented the district'wide curriculum review timeline, explaining that adjustments were made to align with state (DPI) standards updates and to reduce rework when the state revises standards. He said departments entering review that year include family and consumer sciences, technology and engineering at the 6'12 level, K'12 health education and 9'12 science, with music, art and world language scheduled in coming years.
Mysiak described the district's continuous improvement approach: once a department enters review it remains under ongoing evaluation for instruction, materials and assessment alignment until the standards are next updated. Committee members asked clarifying questions about use of DPI guidance and the timing; Mysiak pointed to a packet link that lists a tentative timeline through 2031. The committee made a motion with a positive recommendation to send the updated timeline to the full board.
