Board proclaims August as National Emergency Management Month

Brian Shenovi, director of emergency services, presented a proclamation asking the board to recognize National Emergency Management Month and requested approval. "It is that time of year, August, for me to bring forth the proclamation," he said.

The board moved and seconded the item and approved the proclamation by voice vote. The proclamation recognizes the role of local, state and tribal partners in emergency management and was adopted without amendment.
