State moves to amend probation-revocation motion for Lorenzo Thomas to include new Harris County charge

The prosecutor informed the court that additional material recently came to light in the probation-revocation matter for Lorenzo Thomas, including an alleged new offense of evading detention in Harris County and an active warrant.

The court directed the state to file a first amended motion to include the new offense, obtain discovery and officers as necessary, and confer with defense counsel about potential resolution. The judge noted logistical options — including taking testimony by Zoom if counsel agree — and otherwise directed the matter to be reset for hearing so parties can present evidence.

The court emphasized the need for the state to provide whatever discovery is available and for defense counsel to coordinate with the state about witness availability ahead of the next conference.
