First Selectwoman Jennifer A. Mahr read a resolution at the Aug. 3 Board of Selectmen meeting authorizing the sale of outstanding tax liens on three lakefront lots to Seth and Cheyenne Finley. Attorney Dana D'Angelo told the Board that Mr. Finley contacted her office seeking to purchase the liens adjacent to property he owns and requested the sale be approved.
The motion—"The Board of Selectmen MOVES to sell tax liens for lots 1-00-44, 1-00-45 and 1-00-53 to Seth and Cheyenne Finley for the face value of the liens including interest and lien fees"—was seconded and approved unanimously. Town records presented in the packet show the lien amounts as of July 31, 2026: lot 1-00-44 $1,866.04; lot 1-00-45 $952.30; lot 1-00-53 $2,475.15, for a combined total of $5,293.49.
The sale transfers the town's lien position to the buyers for the listed amounts; the Board did not discuss additional property transfers or changes to assessed values during the session. Attorney D'Angelo indicated she would provide a formal resolution and supporting printouts to the clerk for the file.
