Middlebury board approves July minutes and a slate of small tax rebates

The Middlebury board voted to approve the regular meeting minutes from July 20, 2026, and authorized a series of small tax rebates at its recent meeting. The Chair made the motion to approve the minutes and the board approved it by voice vote.

Board members approved rebates for individual taxpayers and small entities as listed in the meeting packet: Condyllease Bridal Lane Trust ($246.42), Santos Antonio Carr Jr. ($33.98), Raul Batsar ($499.88), James T. Warren ($119.23), Mary T. Risner and Robert R. Ritzar ($67.29), SFS 3 City Limited ($787.19) and one additional rebate ($50.06). The amounts were read into the record by the Chair and the board approved the package by voice vote.

The approvals were procedural items on the consent portion of the agenda; no extended discussion of the individual rebates was recorded. The board moved on after the vote to other agenda items, including contract and bond matters.
