Residents raise concerns about unposted dock weight limit and repair costs

During the public comment period at the Dec. 29 Selectmen meeting, residents pressed the board on the dock condition and associated costs. H. Faulkingham said, "there was not a weight limit posted on the dock," highlighting a potential safety or management gap. C. Byers added, "there are not hard feelings, this is why we have insurance," while S. Fortin said the town "does not want to raise taxes to repair the dock."

The minutes show those public comments immediately followed the Town Manager’s report that an insurer denied the town’s claim and that MMA recommended possible legal action. The board recorded the public input for consideration as it prepares materials and a vote on next steps at a future meeting.
