Council members press City Hall updates, ask for work session on Capital Improvement Fund

Council President Keith Saks suggested prioritizing hallways and staff offices in the City Hall update during discussion of the tentative budget. Council Member Michelle Griffith said she and Council Member Brad DuFur had met about possible updates and would report back to the full council with recommendations.

Council Member Jane Conard noted the collegial tone of the council, saying she "appreciates the collegial spirit we share." City Administrator Susan Robertson reviewed adjustments made at the previous meeting and answered council questions. While council members discussed consolidating funds in the Capital Improvement Fund, they took no formal action on restructuring during the special meeting.

The council directed staff to proceed with advertising the public hearing on the Annual Appropriation Ordinance (set for Aug. 1, 2019 at 4:00 PM) and will consider any proposed changes to capital fund structure at a later meeting or work session if scheduled.
