Council thanks event organizers, hears pedestrian-safety signage request for Fairway Road

During council comments at the Aug. 9 special meeting, Council Member Michelle Griffith thanked staff who assisted with Rebecca Rusch's event "Rebecca's Private Idaho" and said she was pleased to have it in the City of Sun Valley. Griffith also relayed a citizen request that signs be posted on Fairway Road to inform pedestrians not to walk in the middle of the street when seeking pathway entrances.

Mayor Peter Hendricks said staff would hold discussions with the Police Department and the Community Development Director about the requested signage. No formal direction or vote was recorded at the special meeting; the matter was characterized as a staff follow-up item.
