Marshall County reviews 2027 proposed budgets across several departments

Recorder Mary Hamm presented the Recorder's proposed 2027 budget and notified the Board she will be on vacation Sept. 8'21, 2026. Environmental Services Administrator Josh Johnston and Maintenance Supervisor Rodger Haugtvedt also reviewed proposed 2027 budgets for the departments they manage; Haugtvedt asked the Building Committee to examine larger building maintenance needs.

Sheriff Jason Boman and Jail Administrator Mark Ellerbusch reviewed the 2027 Sheriff's Office budget as a separate presentation (see personnel article for hiring details). The budget reviews provided department-level priorities and will feed into the County's broader 2027 budget and levy-impact modeling that the Auditor/Treasurer presented later in the meeting.
