Commission confirms portable-restroom placements May–Oct at arena, square and park

Staff presented the department's portable-restroom schedule and locations for the season: three units will be in place from May 1 to October 30 at the Horse Arena, Town Square and in the park.

A resident thanked staff for placing the units and suggested extending the season to cover more of the warm-weather event window; another resident said having a unit in the park was a new and appreciated measure because the permanent restroom is sometimes locked or lacking supplies. Participants encouraged staff to consider extending availability to April or November depending on event schedules and flooding concerns at the arena location.

Commissioners said they will report back to the city council with feedback about requested season adjustments and keep working with staff to ensure units are available when events and high use occur.
