Palatine Fire Department pins newly promoted chiefs, officers and firefighters

The fire chief introduced personnel changes in the Palatine Fire Department, naming newly promoted Division Chief Scott McCaven (to lead training and readiness for 91 members) and Captain Scott Meservi (assigned to Headquarters Station 85 and technical rescue). The chief also introduced two newly promoted lieutenants, Jeff Hallahan and Matt Buzzard, and two new firefighters, Zach Lane and Brian Pelletreau. Family members and colleagues pinned badges during the ceremony.

The chief described assignments and specialty-team memberships for the promoted officers (honor guard, water rescue, hazardous-materials response) and said the new firefighters are currently at the fire academy and expected to return to shift duty in late March.
