Council places zoning approvals and vehicle replacements on consent agenda; consent agenda approved

Several committee-recommended items were bundled for the council consent agenda and approved by roll call.

The Police Policy & Code Services Committee recommended placing two zoning items on consent: an ordinance granting special use for a dental office at 537 Dundee Road and a variation permitting accessory-structure and lot-coverage relief tied to a cell-tower installation at Palatine High School (1000 Quentin Road); staff said parking and setbacks met requirements and the zoning board recommended approval. Separately, the Administration/Technology & Community Health Committee presented a motion authorizing the village manager to purchase replacement vehicles for community services using the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative; staff said cooperative pricing met bidding requirements and the planned replacements were reduced from five vehicles to four to align with capital-budget review.

The council reconvened and approved the full six-item consent agenda on a roll-call vote; those items were recorded as passed and will proceed under staff implementation and standard permitting processes.
