The Valley View ISD Board approved a slate of procurement and capital recommendations on May 25. Items approved included renewal and purchase of software licenses and services: Alongside App renewal (~$14,720 funded by a Stronger Connections grant), FootSteps2Brilliance licenses ($10,290, federal funds), Wayground renewal ($12,542.12, state compensatory funds), and Responsive Learning license purchases (Gifted & Talented funds). Trustees also approved aggregate vendor spending over $10,000 for bus repairs (Panther Rodz Diesel Mechanic) and Premier Wireless GPS services. The board approved proposal and CG5 architect fees for the Valley View High School new gym roof renovation and separately approved a budget amendment for the gym roof overlay.
Presenters included At‑Risk & Safety Programs Administrator Isaias Vidal, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Nancy Montemayor, Support Services Director Alejandro Rodriguez and Executive Director of District Operations Efrain Matamoros. Motions to approve the expenditures and the gym roof budget amendment passed 4‑0 with three absences. Administrators indicated the purchases will be charged to the listed funding sources and that the gym roof work will move into design and procurement phases.
