Village clerk outlines voter registration, early-voting and mail-in deadlines for March primary

The Village Clerk gave a brief report on election-related deadlines for residents ahead of the upcoming primary. "February 16 is the last day to register to vote, for the upcoming primary election," the clerk said, and added that residents may register online, by mail, or in person at Village Hall. The clerk described a grace period from Feb. 17 through Mar. 4 during which a resident can register and vote at the same time at the clerk's office, noted early voting will run Feb. 29 to Mar. 14, explained that March 10 is the last day to request a mail-in ballot, and reminded listeners that March 15 is election day.

The clerk directed residents to cookcountyclerk.com and the Village Hall for more information and to find early-voting locations. The council received the report and returned to other business; no public comments on elections were recorded during the meeting.
