City pivots from shipping container to concession trailer; tournament revenues rise

Justin Crouch told commissioners the earlier plan to buy a shipping container for concessions at Lehi Park proved infeasible due to floodplain elevation requirements, so staff recommended purchasing a movable concession trailer instead. He described an 8.5-by-20-foot insulated trailer with AC, a three-compartment sink and a generator slide-out for off-site events and said the quoted price was $25,538 from a supplier in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Crouch also summarized tournament and concession revenue, saying the tournament fund had outperformed projections this year and that concession receipts have grown substantially since 2024. "It brought in $91,615.75" for concessions from Jan. 1 to June 30 (figures reported in the meeting), and commissioners praised the recreation team's work in recruiting out-of-town teams.
