Tommy Riggs asked the Kaufman County Commissioners Court to approve an updated general services agreement with National Enrollment Partners (NEP), explaining the firm provides the county's employee-benefits enrollment system and will handle transitions for newly added flexible spending accounts. "We're asking for your approval on this general service agreement," Riggs said during his presentation.
Riggs told commissioners NEP has worked with the county for years and that the update primarily brings flexible spending-account services into the scope of the agreement. He said the vendor collects commissions from connections with vendors but that the county does not generally pay direct fees. Commissioner Lane moved to approve the agreement; Commissioner Cole seconded, and the court approved the motion by voice vote. The county record shows this as an update to an existing contract rather than a new procurement.
