Court approves deputation of Weldon R. Paul Jr. to Precinct 2 constable's office

Constable Johnson asked the court to approve deputing Weldon R. Paul Jr. as a deputy constable to fill a funded, vacant patrol contract position in the Precinct 2 constable's office, noting the position already exists and is funded. "Mister Paul is 19 years master peace officer license," Constable Johnson said while describing Paul's background and prior service at the marshal's office.

Commissioner Chris Phillips moved to approve the deputation and Commissioner Moore seconded; the court approved the motion by voice vote. Constable Johnson said the appointee will enter an existing, vacant position that has already been budgeted.
