Sheriff's Committee approves agenda and unanimously forwards claims to full board

The Ford County Sheriff's Committee convened in the Sheriff's Boardroom at 9:00 a.m. on July 10, 2026. Chairman Carson Vaughn called the meeting to order, and Clerk & Recorder Kelsie Vaughn administered roll call; members Gene May, Sarah Mussman and Tim Nuss were present and Randy Ferguson was absent. Committee member Sarah Mussman moved to accept the agenda; Gene May seconded and the agenda was approved by unanimous voice vote.

Later in the meeting Mrs. Mussman moved — and Mr. May seconded — a motion to send all claims to the full Board of Commissioners for consideration. The committee approved that motion on a unanimous roll call vote of the members present. The committee recorded no public comment and had no new or old business items; the meeting adjourned at 9:24 a.m.
