Neighbor asks whether watering schedule will overload local mains; city to test

Margaret Wheaton, a resident of Carolina Avenue South, raised a neighborhood concern during recognition of citizens: many houses on her block have addresses ending in 0 and therefore share the same watering day, which she worried could cause pressure drops or water shortages when neighbors run sprinklers simultaneously.

"Are we prepared to have a nice lot of water?" Wheaton asked, noting her block’s concentration of addresses with the same last digit. City staff responded that the system's design should be able to equalize demand, suggested conducting a test and reviewing the size of mains that serve the area, and offered to follow up on the specific neighborhood request.
