Board authorizes Heudia digital‑referral platform using opioid settlement funds

The Board on July 13 authorized the County Manager to execute a three‑year Master Services Agreement with Heudia to license and deploy the AccessMeCare platform using opioid settlement funds totaling $231,973. Staff said the platform provides a digital referral system to connect healthcare providers, community organizations and individuals to local resources and improve care coordination for people affected by opioid use disorder.

Wes Gray described the intended uses and noted the total cost of the three‑year contract is $231,973. The board authorized execution of the MSA and approved the budget amendment to commit opioid settlement funds to the platform. Related opioid expenditure contracts to multiple community organizations were also authorized for execution as previously approved in the May 18 resolution allocating $1,349,137 in opioid settlement dollars.
