Board approves routine contract renewals, courthouse roof project and accepts tax report

During the consent agenda, commissioners approved several facility contracts and financial reports. Building Facilities Director Ken Brann reported that Baker Roofing was the lowest responsive bidder at $182,402 to replace a portion of the courthouse roof and the Board authorized the County Manager to execute the contract with a 10% contingency. The Board also authorized a three‑year renewal with Siemens for HVAC automation controls totaling $196,570 and a three‑year renewal with Southern Elevator for elevator repair and maintenance at $98,848.44.

Tax Administrator Russell Hill presented the June 2026 Tax Collection Report showing a fiscal year‑to‑date combined collection rate for real and personal property of 99.35% compared with 99.43% a year earlier; the Board approved the report. Several budget amendments related to Sheriff’s Office funds and housing were also approved as part of the consent agenda.
