County signs off on pedestrian bridge, HVAC and fire-alarm projects across county facilities

General Services briefed the commission on capital and maintenance items covering multiple county facilities. Miss Hill listed eight items including an architect agreement for a pedestrian bridge linking the CJC and the 2121 Building, irrigation and preventive maintenance for the coroner's office landscaping, commissioning agents for interior renovation phases at the 2121 Building, a Siemens BAS HVAC contract covering several county buildings, and replacement of obsolete fire alarm panels at four county facilities.

Miss Hill said these items address building systems and life-safety equipment that require updates or replacement. Commissioners asked no substantive questions and approved the package by voice vote. Staff will proceed with contract execution and project scheduling.
