Commissioners approve MOU with West Washington work-based learning program

The Washington County Board of Commissioners voted to approve a memorandum of understanding with the West Washington work-based learning program. Commissioners described the program as placing up to seven students in county departments — including positions at the highway garage and health department — with the school providing insurance coverage for students while they participate.

Commissioners said the MOU had been circulated, that counsel would finalize language, and that the agreement formalizes county support for student placements. The board voted in favor by voice vote.
