Council approves truck financing, equipment purchases, EMS plan, radio upgrades and software buys

The council approved several budgeted capital and operating purchases and authorized financing across multiple motions. Members authorized a lease‑purchase agreement for a new truck with a principal amount of $165,769 and approved buying the truck body and chassis (2027 F600 with switch‑and‑go body) for $165,007.69 financed through a five‑year arrangement with annual payments of $36,471.81.

Council also voted to buy a Toyota forklift for $47,340, an enclosed trailer for $14,590, and three Motorola APX 800 portable radios for $30,417 to address regional radio‑band changes. The council accepted a $49,000 low bid to repave the fire station apron and approved IT purchases including motor-vehicle software ($18,681) for the tax office and a $16,000 records‑management system for the fire department. The council adopted the municipal EMS transport plan required by Title 30‑A, Chapter 154 (Maine law) and renewed two liquor licenses; each item passed by unanimous vote.
