Board elects Jeff Wickersham as chair, Laura Mills as vice chair; liaison appointments tabled

The Stevenson-Carson School District Board of Directors elected Jeff Wickersham as Board Chair and Laura Mills as Vice Chair during its Jan. 9, 2020 meeting. The motions to select Wickersham and Mills were moved and seconded by board members and carried without recorded opposition.

Board members also voted to postpone two liaison appointments. The agenda items to appoint an SCEF liaison and a Long Range Planning liaison were tabled on a motion to defer until the board’s final seat is filled, leaving those roles unassigned pending the new member.

The leadership changes took place early in the meeting after David Allen called the session to order at 7:00 p.m. and the board formally adopted the agenda. New Chair Jeff Wickersham then took his seat and led introductions of those present.
