North Canaan electors table two budget-transfer proposals amid Board of Finance concerns

A motion was made to amend the 2025–26 Town Council budget to cover a $40,281.42 overrun; the motion was seconded and met with procedural objections from residents. Town Clerk Krystian Segalla opened the meeting and the motion was introduced during item discussion. Item 2 — a $42,145.42 transfer for sand/salt — was paused and received no further action at this meeting.
