Residents push for a completed path linking upper and lower Huachuca City and more library programming

Resident Julian Barclay told council he would like the paved path that runs between upper and lower Huachuca City finished to provide a safe walking route to the library, Community Center and school.

"It'd be really nice if that one was actually like finished, because that'd be a really nice path that connects both things to each other and also give residents a direct access to the library," Barclay said. He and others also suggested boosting library programming to support job application help, after‑school activities and community engagement. Several residents raised low‑income or multi‑dwelling housing as a longer‑term idea to attract residents and expand local affordability.

Council agreed these items should be listed as candidate projects or priorities in the meeting minutes so town staff can pursue planning or grant options.
